Theory of Change

How do you measure up?
There is a lot of talk about measurement in the third sector – it is largely being driven by an increasing demand that organisations PROVE that they do good. But how do you measure increased self-esteem, an ability to work with others, or reduced loneliness? And how do YOU know YOUR activities are the ones that help people?

Clarity can help you to create a Theory of Change and Impact Measurement Framework by providing 1:1 support and training.

We have produced a number of resources to organisations help themselves – Resources

Evaluation

There is increasing pressure on organisations to PROVE they are making a difference. But how do you measure increased self-esteem, an ability to work with others, or reduced loneliness? And how do you know YOUR activities are the ones that help people? We can help; by working with you to create a Theory of Change and designing and implementing an Impact Measurement Framework.

We can also undertake independent project evaluations, often required by funders, and help you write in an evaluation methodology to funding bids.

Whatever your position we will devise an approach specifically suited to your project and organisation – almost certainly involving collecting narrative, story and case study as well as hard quantitative data.

“We need to know if we are making a difference”

Research

Most funders now require evidence that your project is meeting a real need. You might “know “ your proposal is needed but can you demonstrate this? We can help. We know our way around the now substantial amount of data on people’s social and economic needs that is publicly available. We can help you analyse and present this information in a way that particularly relates to your project and the area and community you seek to serve.

We are also well experienced in collecting new data and insights through on line and household surveys, phone interviews, focus groups and other methods.

Consultation and Engagement

People matter and Clarity can help you involve your local community, service users and volunteers by providing community engagement activities, volunteer recruitment campaigns and helping you get feedback from your clients.

‘We want to gather evidence of what our beneficiaries and users really need’
